Joanna is your Modern Adventure host, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable trip for everyone. She will be your go-to for any and all questions around our daily flow, meeting points, times, what to expect and any questions or concerns that may arise.

Joanna Ngalula is a true citizen of the world. Born in Congo DR, she is Belgian, a quarter Greek and a quarter Portuguese. A multilingual certified yoga teacher, writer, tour leader and retired partnership manager in International Development, she has traveled the world, fought against poverty while empowering women and providing access to basic infrastructure. Currently she is writing a book on self-development and the intersection of mind, body and spirit. She spends the rest of her time teaching yoga and connecting with fantastic people around the world.

Our local guides in Morocco are experts in all things related to our destination. They are deeply knowledgeable with respect to local culture and customs, art and history, and are passionate about sharing that with all of us. They are our interpreter, local host and introduce us to the local way of life.

Portland’s chef all-star has been on the rise for a long time. He's the former Executive Chef at downtown Portland’s Departure, and has worked at a slew of Jean-Gorges restaurants, cooking up everything from French to Thai. Gregory’s true break-out was becoming a finalist on Top Chef. Since, he’s published a cookbook, gotten lauded locally and nationally, run multiple marathons and plans to open his own restaurant.

We will meet and spend time with local community members, weavers, artisans, vintners, producers and many more. All of our local experts are excited to help us learn more, experience more, and have the best possible experience together.
